The session is an opportunity for discussion among school and university teachers in order to improve the geoscience skills of the next generation of citizens. New approaches and methods for education in Geosciences will be presented and discussed, with particular emphasis on innovative experiences related to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Contributions related to learning sequences and activities in Earth science topics, international experiences, research in geoscience education, and collaborative education experiences between schools and universities, natural history museums, science centers, are welcome. The session will also be an opportunity to present and discuss experiences and results of the national geoscience program PLS (Scientific Degrees Project), as well as best practices in teacher education in Earth Sciences. Teachers of all school grades and researchers are invited to participate and contribute with their projects and activities, with the aim of spreading the culture of Earth Sciences in schools and society.
